Vesak – Budos šventė 2025 | Gegužės 10d.
Gegužės pilnatį theravados budistų pasaulis paprastai švenčia Gotamos Budos gimimo, nušvitimo ir galutinio užgęsimo dieną.
Kviečiame ir jus dieną prieš tą pilnatį, šeštadienį, gegužės 10 d., prasmingai atšvęsti šiuos įvykius Alokos centre darnos ir malonios bendruomenės draugijoje.
Praleisime dieną bendrystėje kartu su Buda apmąstydami Didžio Mokytojo, jo Mokymo ir Bendruomenės savybes. Tokie apmąstymai neša didžiulę naudą mūsų praktikai ir gyvenimui: puoselėjami atida, pasitikėjimas ir išmintis, patiriami džiaugsmas ir laimė, nugalimos baimės ir kyla jausmas, jog gyvename šalia Budos, kad Mokytojas yra su mumis. Atnaujinsime priesakus, giedosime apsaugines giesmes, aukosime maistą Budai ir vienuolėms, medituosime, dalinsimės savo pamąstymais ir pajautimais.
Programos akcentas – simbolinis ir gražus ritualas – Budų prausimas. Šis veiksmas turi keletą prasmių:
- Jis simbolizuoja proto ir širdies apsivalymą - tyrumo, aiškumo ir dorybės atnaujinimą.
- Kūriami nuopelnai.
- Skatinami nuolankumas ir dėkingumas - tai pagarbos ir dėkingumo Budai ir jo mokymams išraiška.
- Atspindima vidinė praktika - švelniai valydami išorinį atvaizdą, praktikuojantieji prisimena, kad reikia gryninti širdį.

Vesak – Buddha Festival 2025 | 10th of May
The Theravada Buddhist world usually celebrates the full moon in May as the day of Gotama Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and final extinction.
We invite you to celebrate these events in a meaningful way on the day before the full moon, Saturday, May 10, at the Aloka Centre in the company of a harmonious and kind community.
We will spend the day in communion with the Buddha, reflecting on the qualities of the Great Teacher, his Teaching and Community. Such reflection brings great benefits to our practice and life: mindfulness, trust and wisdom are nurtured, joy and happiness are experienced, fears are overcome, and there is a sense that we are living alongside the Buddha, that the Master is with us. We will renew the precepts, chant the protective suttas, offer food to the Buddha and the nuns, meditate, and share our reflections and feelings.
The highlight of the programme is the symbolic and beautiful ritual of the Buddha bathing. This action has several meanings:
- It symbolises the purification of the mind and heart - the renewal of purity, clarity and virtue.
- Merit is created.
- Humility and gratitude are encouraged - it is an expression of respect and appreciation for the Buddha and his teachings.
- It reflects the inner practice - by gently cleansing the outer image, practitioners are reminded of the need for purifying their heart.
We invite you not only to participate in the Buddha Bathing Ceremony, but also to bring your own Buddha image with you! Together we will gently wash all the images we bring with the intention that each Buddha image will radiate peace and inspire the inner journey.
